Medvet is the brand name of a new online retailing platform from a Colorado-based startup.
According to its website, Medvet commerce allows merchants to easily send money and goods via mobile apps to one another.
The platform is powered by a smart contract, which ensures that the goods are delivered within the time limit set by the merchant.
A “business card” is attached to the end of the card that contains an identification number that identifies the merchant, which can be tracked on a secure, encrypted ledger.
The card also contains a contact number for the merchant to contact with additional information.
According the company, the merchant can “buy, sell, exchange, gift, deliver, and even store their products online.”
The company hopes to bring this new platform to more businesses across the country.
“We are not only building an entirely new way of delivering commerce and products, we are also creating a new business model for commerce,” CEO Jeff Anderson told The Washington Post in an interview.
Medvet is currently in beta testing, so it’s unclear if the platform will be available to consumers any time soon.
However, Anderson says it’s still possible to use it to create a digital business with the help of the blockchain.
“You could build a store in Medvet, or you could set up a shop in Medvit.
It’s really easy to create an app, and it’s not hard to get started,” he said.
“It’s like a digital bank.
It really is the best way to do it.”
What’s next for Medvet?
The company is also working on its own decentralized financial system, a payment processor, and a blockchain wallet.
“There are a lot of new opportunities out there,” Anderson said.
The company plans to launch a mobile application for this service in the coming weeks.
