Oracle is expected to begin rolling out a cloud service that would help businesses offer a seamless, affordable, and secure experience to customers, including health commerce and insurance companies.
The cloud service, which would provide a unified, integrated system for health commerce, insurance, and pharmacy transactions, will be called Oracle Cloud.
Oracle said Tuesday that it would launch the service next year.
The company also said that it will work with several healthcare providers to provide a “cloud-ready” product to customers.
The Oracle Cloud will enable customers to connect to their Oracle Cloud account, log into their cloud service and then interact with their cloud system, according to Oracle.
Customers will be able to access the Oracle Cloud services in three ways:Cloud Services can be accessed on any Oracle platform, including the Oracle Virtual Private Cloud, Oracle Enterprise Cloud, or Oracle Cloud Platforms.
Cloud Services are not tied to any Oracle business account.
Customers can view and manage their cloud accounts and manage Oracle Cloud accounts from their Oracle cloud account.
Cloud Services are available to all customers of Oracle Enterprise.
Oracle Cloud is available for businesses, organizations and governments.
The company said that its Cloud Services will provide the following benefits:• Access to the Oracle cloud service will be seamless.
Customers in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Brazil, the European Union, South Korea, India, and other locations will have access to the Cloud Services.• Oracle Cloud Services can leverage Oracle’s Cloud Platform APIs, which provide the core capabilities of Oracle Cloud products, to enable a seamless integration with Oracle Cloud and its partners.• Cloud Services and Oracle Cloud platforms can be used across Oracle’s global enterprise offering and the Oracle Business Cloud.• Users can access the Cloud services through Oracle Cloud Applications, which will allow Oracle Cloud customers to manage, administer, and deploy Cloud Services on their own cloud platform.
Oracle Cloud will be available to customers of any Oracle cloud platform, and users of the Oracle Enterprise Platform can leverage the Cloud Platform.
Oracle also said it will add additional cloud capabilities for health care, health technology, and the environment.
Oracle also announced that it is developing an open source cloud solution, the Oracle Health Service.
The service, available as an SDK for developers, will offer access to all Oracle Health Services, including patient management, billing, insurance payment, prescription management, and billing for a broad range of health care applications.
Oracle Health Services is available on the Oracle Marketplace and will be free for customers with a subscription to Oracle Cloud or Enterprise Cloud Platform, and will also be free with a paid Oracle Health Suite.

The Cloud Health Service is available to those customers who are currently enrolled in Oracle Cloud health care plans, which are managed by Oracle Health.
