New Apple Pay shopping app for groceries will launch on Oct. 25.
Apple Pay, the company’s new payment technology that lets consumers pay for goods and services with their phones, will be available to shoppers in stores nationwide, starting with Apple Stores.
Apple is working with Kroger to make Apple Pay easier to use and more secure for customers.
Apple Pay will allow customers to use the app to pay for groceries at stores, check out items at their local grocery store, pay for online orders at the checkout and more.
Kroger will be the first grocery store to start accepting Apple Pay in the U.S. on Oct 5, but Apple has announced it will soon be rolling out the payment technology in more stores.
Kroger is also launching its own Apple Pay app, which lets customers make Apple-approved purchases, check in at their Apple Stores and pay with their iPhones, iPods and other Apple products.
Krogers new Apple Watch app also has a new feature that allows customers to make and receive Apple Pay purchases.
Kryger is the latest retailer to roll out Apple Pay.
In May, Starbucks started accepting Apple Watch payments, and Walmart started accepting payments through Apple Pay on Sept. 12.
