The latest development in the Applebee, Inc. chain of shopping malls in Jacksonville has led to one of the largest expansion plans in the history of Jacksonville.
In January, Applebee Foods announced that it would open up the Applebees Commerce Park in downtown Jacksonville in the new mall, opening up an additional 1,500 square feet of retail space.
The new Applebees shopping mall, dubbed the Applebears Commerce Park, will be located at the corner of Main Street and Commerce Avenue in the northwest corner of Jacksonville, the site of Applebees stores.
The mall will be called the AppleBears Commerce Square.
The Applebees have been busy expanding their store count, adding more than 100 new stores in the last year.
The company has expanded the number of stores in each of the four counties it operates in: Broward, Seminole, Palm Beach and Pinellas.
Applebees plans to expand its footprint even further.
In the coming years, the company plans to open its largest store in Florida, with plans to have over 40,000 square feet for retail space in that location.
The company has already begun planning for the expansion of the store to include more than 1,000 additional retail spaces and is expecting to expand to about 200,000 sq. ft. in 2019.
The expansion is expected to start in 2020 and the Applebies will open their second store at the new location in 2021.
The new store will be the company’s second new store in Jacksonville, after opening its first store at Jacksonville’s North Campus in 2019 and the second new Applebee location in 2019, according to the company.
The development is part of a plan to build a total of 40 stores across the state by 2025.
It also includes plans to add additional restaurants and retail.
Applebee’s plans to create over 100,000 new jobs and create more than $4 billion in new economic activity for the state, according the company, according a statement from the company to The Associated Press.
Applebeans Commerce Park will be a mixed-use development with an active shopping center, restaurant, and shopping mall.
The developers also plan to create a 1.4 million square foot campus with approximately 300,000 space to house its retail store.
Apples newest store will open in 2021 and be the second Applebee store in the state.
The first store opened in Jacksonville in 2017.
The second Applebees store opened a year later in 2021 in the same shopping center.
The project is currently in the planning stages.
The construction will be finished by the end of 2019.
